Mattis Konrad is a character in Edna & Harvey: The Breakout and the father of Edna Konrad.
Appearance[]
Years ago, Mattis had short short hair and a healthy complexion. He wore a green sweater, light brown pants, dark brown shoes, and round glasses.
History[]
Mattis Konrad raised his daughter Edna for an unknown amount of time all by himself, attempting to control her wild behavior. It was implied that he was stressed out by working long hours and did not know how to control Edna's wild behavior, as evidenced by locking her up and considering having her undergo a "correction of character". However, it is evident he still loved her, keeping a picture of her by his bed.
After his daughter Edna unintentionally killed Dr Marcel's son, Alfred Marcel, he took the blame and received the death penalty. He was later buried in the town cemetery, his grave falling into disrepair over the years.
According to Edna, he seemed to prefer being with Alfred, though whether this was true or not is unknown. He also mentioned in the final tempomorph sequence that he could imagine a future together for Edna and Alfred.
Trivia[]
- Mattis was executed for Alfred's murder, despite the fact that there is no death penalty in Germany.
